The incident occurred near the venue of the Global Education meet at the Leela Convention centre at Kovalam.
The Students' Federation of India activists had gathered in front of the conference venue protesting against the meet, alleging that it was meant for further commercialising higher education sector and allowing entry of foreign universities.
A tense situation prevailed in the area since this morning.
Sreenivasan, former Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, Vienna, and Ambassador to Austria and Slovenia, had reportedly come out to greet some delegates when the attack took place.
Video footage showed him being pushed around allegedly by protesting students and one of them slapped him on the face.
He fell down on the road. .
There was a heavy posse of police personnel at the scene, but no use just watching things happening close to them.
The police not only did not prevent this but also did not catch-hold of the culprit even.
All SFI protesting are grown up men, acted foolishly.
These men behaved as animals, and attacked a most respected Senior Citizen of Bharatham.
NOTES :
1. SFI is the most violent organisation of CPM, a curse to this part of this holy nation,
2. These stupid men are mentioned as students, a shame to this Nation,
3. Police was there watching this attack at very close range, and miserably failed in their duty to protect the Senior Citizen,
4. Home minister Chennithala instead of taking severe action on police was blaming communists, his ministry failed miserably,
5. Pinarayi Vijayan Justify SFI activist who attacked TP Sreenivasan , and said that Srinivasan is unfit to the post in Education council!

10. Kerala is becoming a hell, by these communists, and congress parties, and their followers/ supporters, behave like animals, these politicians are virus to the health of this Holy Nation.
My Viewpoints-
1. Both UDF, lead by congress, and LDF lead by communists, destroy the peace of this Nation,
2. Both are proving themselves unfit to be political party, and people are suffocating by their stupid marches, and activities,
3. Both fronts corrupted, pending cases against them, involve as many scams, pretend to be good, misleading people, by scoring points against others ( parties),
4. The followers, supporters, all stupid student organisations, most undisciplined with animals behaviour, no respect to the public living here,
5. For whom these idiots are conducting marches, as general public hate them, no one wanted these kind demos, or protests,
6. These parties, and organisations, are slowly moving towards their fall, and destruction, because of their own deeds,
7. All these so called self appointed leaders, on whom no one has any respect, and regard,
8. All good persons are cursing them, day on and day out,
9. We honest citizens praying for another Parasurama Avatharam, to throw these demons out of this holy land,
10. Time is not far, intelligent, respectable persons should not vote them, and choose wisely good honest respectable persons only.
11. KERALA POLITICIANS ARE ACTING LIKE SENSELESS CREATURES, TO DEFAME THIS NATION.
